The track
Newbury is a left-handed, galloping course of about 1m 6f round, with a straight mile that undulates all the way. There is very little draw bias on the straight course, but the round-mile start can be affected by the draw.
The jumps course is about 1m 5f with 11 fences, and the chase course is thought of as fairly stiff.
